 MIGUEL PEIDRO

Miguel’s landscapes celebrate the variety of elements that work together to create shape and form. Every scene is composed to take into account the structure of a mountain path, light reflecting on water, or sculptural tree trunks, as they bring depth and life to the scene. He is particularly fascinated by the effect that the presence of water will have on any landscape, as it captures and plays with the light to create new dimensions and movement.

Although Miguel leans toward bold, captivating colours in his palette, his work holds a pervading theme of peace and tranquillity, depicting scenes deep within nature with no hint of habitation save a road or fence which offers the viewer an invitation into the moment.

Born in Alcoy, Spain, in 1950, Miguel studied at the Fine Art School in Valencia, where he received training in traditional art techniques that was continued through private training at the private studios of established Spanish Masters. Now known for his exceptional landscapes, Miguel’s artwork is collected around the world.
